Our Specialist
Passionate about creating beautiful smiles in Lutz, Dr. Altinai Gorrity brings dedication and warmth to each patient’s dental care.
Dr. Altinai Gorrity's love of dentistry started long before she ever sat in a dental school classroom. Growing up in Cuba, she knew from a young age that she wanted to give people beautiful, healthy smiles. That early calling led her to Havana University's School of Odontology, where she had the rare opportunity to shadow and train under the world-renowned oral surgeon Dr. Santana Garay, an experience that shaped her clinical foundation before she ever set foot in the United States.
After moving to the U.S., Dr. Gorrity attended NYU College of Dentistry, earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2004. While at NYU, she completed a mini-residency in aesthetic dentistry and was selected as one of a small group of senior students invited to train at the newly established Rosenthal Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry. There, she studied directly under Dr. Larry Rosenthal and Dr. Michael Apa, two internationally recognized pioneers of Facial Aesthetic Design, an approach to porcelain veneers that considers a patient's facial framework when designing a smile rather than treating teeth in isolation.
In 2008, Dr. Gorrity moved to Lutz and took over the area's first dental office, originally founded by Dr. Sidlo in 1974. The practice has operated at the same location ever since, and many patients who first walked through those doors decades ago still return today. Dr. Gorrity considers it an honor to now treat several generations of the same families. She has continued building on her clinical foundation through advanced training at the Dawson Academy with Dr. Pete Dawson and at the Piper Institute, where she studied functional occlusion, from TMJ disorders through full smile design. She has been certified in Invisalign since 2004 and in Botox and dermal fillers since 2009.
What drives Dr. Gorrity is simple: she loves the art of creating, improving, and preserving healthy, beautiful smiles, and she is just as dedicated to her patients' comfort as she is to their long-term oral health. Over the years, many of her patients and their families have become close friends. A proud resident of Lutz, she supports local schools and community fundraisers and is the mother of four. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, reading, listening to music, and spending time at the beach.
